A wise man once told me, it’s not blood that makes you British! It’s the land that makes you British. On reflection of such words, I see his point. Living in beautiful North Devon I have come to realise again and again how lucky I am to live in such a place. From the quiet meandering streams in secluded valleys, to the rugged coastline and its crashing waves: The beautiful sweeping beaches with vistas so breathtaking at anytime of day. It’s quite easy to be inspired living here in the coastal town of Ilfracombe, so close in proximity to the beaches and the forested valleys of Exmoor.
As an enthusiastic photographer & film maker I try to capture the Magic of North Devon: Though no lens or poem will ever do justice to this timeless place. I have travelled widely and have seen the beauty of ancient lands and cities and her peoples: I still yearn to travel and capture the spirit of other lands. Yet here I am in this veiled place, full of charm and otherworldly candour: walking with the ancients and the gentle ones who guide us! Calling us home, calling us to remember who we are. This is why I take photographs. This is why I live here in beautiful North Devon.
